COLLECTION CLERK / BOARD SECRETARY
(Deputy Clerk, Deputy Tax Collector, Deputy Treasurer, & Deputy Registrar)

The Town of Readfield has an immediate opening for a full-time, 32-40 hr/week Collections Clerk and Board Secretary.  This is professional administrative work dealing extensively with the public.   The Collection Clerk is responsible for registering automobiles, boats, ATV's and snowmobiles, issuing various recreational and civil licenses, issuing permits, data entry, collecting taxes and fees, assisting with office scheduling, answering the telephone and directing calls, providing support for administrative staff, managing office supplies, maintaining relevant files and records, recording meeting minutes for some town boards and committees, supporting elections work, and performing other duties as assigned.  The position pays $17.73/hr and the Town of Readfield offers excellent benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, paid retirement, performance bonuses, and a positive work environment.
