Winter Maintenance

The Town of Readfield has responsibility for winter maintenance of approximately 28.6 miles of local road, 5.9 miles of State-aid road (Rt. 135 and North Rd.), and .9 miles of sidewalk as well as several municipal properties and facilities.

Winter maintenance of local and State-aid roads is contracted with Horne Construction.  Comments and questions regarding winter road maintenance on these roads should be directed to Scott Horne at 242-6111 and may also be directed to or copied to the Road Commissioner.

Questions and comments on winter maintenance of town properties, facilities, and the sidewalk should be sent directly to the Road Commissioner, contact at left.  The Road Commissioner may be contacted after-hours or in an emergency at 207-931-7680.

Questions and comments regarding winter maintenance of Main Street (Rt. 41), North rd., Gorden Rd. (Rt. 135 North), and Stanley Rd. (Rt. 135 South) should be directed to the Maine Department of Transportation at 207-624-8200.
