NOW HIRING - Beach Superintendent / Community Programming Coordinator

The Town of Readfield has an exciting employment opening with significant growth potential!

We are hiring for a  seasonal Beach Superintendent, and also hiring for a potential extension of that work into a year-round Community Programming Coordinator position.  In short, the successful applicant will be guaranteed full-time summer work with the potential for part-time work throughout the rest of the year.  The additional work will depend on funding approvals happening in mid-June.

The Beach Superintendent position will manage daily activity, programming, maintenance, and the overall experience of users at the Readfield Beach.  The Community Programming Coordinator position, if approved, will effectively replace the Beach Superintendent position and will be responsible for the development, management, and support of a wide range of community programming encompassing youth sports, summer programming, community events, age-friendly initiatives, and more.  Full job descriptions for both positions are available at the bottom of the page.

Applicants must have excellent customer service skills, the willingness and ability to perform work in an outdoor environment, the ability to be highly productive while at times working independently and managing multiple tasks, the ability to develop and implement recreational programming for all age groups, and the ability to work with subordinate staff.  Previous experience with parks and/or recreation is a plus.  We are willing to be flexible and work with the right applicant given the unique circumstances of this hiring process.
