2021 Dog Licensing ~ Deadline June 2, 2021

NOTICE: A $25.00 per dog registration late fee goes into affect starting Thursday, June 3rd. 

With COVID-19 protocols being lifted the deadline for licensing your dog is right around the corner. Register your dog (if not already done) to avoid the late fee of $25.00 per dog.

Dog Licenses were due December 31, 2020. The state-mandated late fee of $25.00 per dog was waved due to COVID-19. This extension will end on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. The late fee will start Thursday, June 3, 2021. 

The licensing fee for dogs is$6.00 if spayed/neutered (must have proof if not on file) or $11.00 if able to produce young. A current rabies needs to be on file or updated before we can register your dog. 

Below are ways to register your dog before the deadline :

  • Stop by the Town Office during regular business hours (Mon & Tues 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Weds 12:00 Noon - 6:00 PM, Fri 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
  • Call the Town Office at 207-685-4939 if we have current rabies on file or you can email it to info@readfieldmaine.org and then call to register (additional fee for credit call transactions over the phone)
  • Visit the Town Website at www.readfieldmaine.org under online services link and click on Dog Licensing & Renewal (This will be shut off on Wednesday, June 2 at midnight).
