2023 Dog Licenses!

2022 Dog Licenses expired on December 31, 2022

This notice is being sent via the Town's online news announcements. A big thank you to all who have registered their dog(s) or reached out to update our records. If you believe we may have a dog on file that you may no longer have or is deceased please give us a call to confirm or send an email to clerk@readfieldmaine.org so we can keep our records up to date! Again, thank you!

Here are the ways to register your dog:

Please note: As of February 1, 2023 there is a late fee of $25.00/dog if they were not registered by January 31st.

• In person at the Town Office during regular business hours: Monday & Tuesday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; Wednesday 12:00 - 6:00 pm; Friday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
• Over the phone by calling 207-685-4939 - Processing fee for Credit Card will apply

The cost to register your dog is $6.00 if spayed/neutered and $11.00 if unaltered

Proof of rabies and spay/neuter (if applicable) are required to register

Dogs 6 months & older are required to be registered in the town they live in by state law.

Registration deadline was December 31, 2022.

If you failed to register your dog by January 31st, a late fee of $25.00 per dog will be  added to the registration in addition to the licensing cost.
