Food Composting and Food Rescue Special Events!

Starting Saturday, July 24th!
Compost

The Readfield Transfer Station has teamed up with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, The Mitchell Center at the University of Maine, and a few special community partners to start a composting and "food rescue" program.  The program will help save tax dollars by keeping food out of our waste stream and have plenty of other positive impacts too.  We're excited to get started and hope to see you at our upcoming special events!
