FREE Fill Material! - UPDATE

UPDATE:  We've had a large and prompt response to the offer fo free fill so we are at the end of what we can provide with this project.  However, we will have more ditching projects next spring and more material available.  If you have an interest in this material please complete a waiver form at the Town Office and we'll keep you in line for next time!  Additionally, we do have some material on site at the Transfer Station available for those willing to load it and truck it themselves.  Probably 50-100 yards.  Please give me a call so we can schedule - 685-1818.

The ditching work on Church Road is producing a lot of fill material - more than the Town has a need for.  We're offering this material (mostly sand and gravel, with some organic material) to residents on a first-come basis with a few requirements:

  • Anyone receiving the material will need to sign a waiver acknowledging that the material is not "clean fill" and holding the Town harmless, among other conditions.
  • The delivery location must be accessible, safe, and in Readfield - Pike will deliver.
  • Delivery is for whole truck loads.
