Due to the existence of an "emergency or urgent issue" the Board of Appeals will conduct this meeting both in-person and by remote methods/technology at the Zoom link provided below, in accordance with the requirements of 1 M.R.S. Section 403-B and the Board of Appeals Remote Participation Policy.
The Town of Readfield Board of Appeals will conduct a Public Hearing at the Town Office at 8 Old Kents Hill Road on February 3, 2022 beginning at 6:00 PM. The purpose of this Public Hearing is to receive oral and written argument, limited to the record of the proceedings before the Planning Board, on an appeal submitted by Safe Space Meeting House (SSMH) from the Planning Board’s decision of November 3, 2021 denying SSMH’s application for change of use of non-conforming structure and for site plan review. The appeal alleges that errors were made in the planning board’s denial of an application for a Community Center/Club use of the buildings and property at 26 Mill Stream Road, further identified as the property on Assessor’s Map 120 and Lot 013, and an associated property at Map 120 and Lot 17.
This appeal and the Planning Board record are on file at the Town Office for public inspection and on the Town Website at www.readfieldmaine.org/appeals-board. The public is welcome to attend and present relevant argument. If you cannot attend the hearing, written argument will be accepted at the Town Office or via email to clerk@readfieldmaine.org prior to the hearing, no later than 6:00pm on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
