Municipal Budget Meeting & Hearing

The Readfield Select Board and Budget Committee held a workshop and hearing on Thursday, March 28th 2019 at 6:30pm - Gile Hall to discuss the proposed Fiscal Year 2020 Municipal Budget.  The purpose of this meeting was to present the draft budget and hear questions, comments, and recommendations from the public.  The discussion focused on proposed capital improvements including much needed repairs to the Community Library, and an expansion of the Readfield Fire Station, being considered together as a municipal building project.  The municipal portion of the mil rate is expected to decrease this year, but the RSU and County portions of the mil rate are beyond the control of municipal government.  Please take a look at the information presented below!
